Our vision for Governance

  • To establish a highly professional multi academy trust board that will hold Governing bodies and executives to account and to lead the strategic direction of the MAT.
  • To maintain local governing bodies in each school to continue to provide the support and challenge to ensure pupil are reaching their potential.
  • To ensure we have strategic governance that is allied to our educational focus
  • To deliver increased effectiveness and efficiency by clarifying the differentiated MAT governance roles and responsibilities in a Scheme of Delegation and providing a bespoke professional development programme for trustees and local governors.

The people who support governance across our trust are passionate about SEND and have skills at all levels of governance in the following areas:

  • Our members- Paediatric Psychiatrist, former Special School Headteacher, Education Research Specialist, former School Business Manager, Economist
  • Our trustees- Educational Psychologist, Risk Manager, former special school HT, business leader, Government Strategist, Economist, Business Professionals with backgrounds in HR and H&S, School Business Professional
  • Our local governors- parents, local community members, staff, education experts, wide variety of professional experience, the critical evaluative eyes for the school community
